Ideal Board Member Personas for the Heart of a Giant Foundation

I would suggest that we have a comprehensive list of responsibilities and requirements for each Board member.  Ideally, we will have everyone who wants to serve on the Board submit their resume and an application so that the Board Chair/Governance Committee can determine if they have the skills and qualifications we need.

1. Healthcare Expert: A medical professional with experience in cardiovascular health, research, or patient care.

2. Business Leader: A successful CEO or executive with a proven track record of leadership and innovation in the corporate world.

3. Philanthropist: A high-net-worth individual with a passion for giving back and a history of supporting healthcare initiatives.

4. Community Advocate: A local community leader with a deep understanding of the needs of the underserved population.

5. Public Health Expert: A public health professional with experience in developing and implementing healthcare policies and programs.

6. Technology Innovator: A tech entrepreneur or executive with expertise in using technology to improve healthcare delivery.

7. Financial Advisor: A financial advisor or investment banker with experience in managing nonprofit organizations, endowments, or foundations.

8. Legal Expert: A lawyer with experience in healthcare law, nonprofit governance, and tax law.

9. Marketing and Communications Professional: A marketing or communications professional with experience in developing and executing public awareness campaigns.

10. Corporate Social Responsibility Expert: A corporate social responsibility (CSR) expert with experience in developing and implementing CSR programs.

11. Education Professional: An education professional with experience in developing and implementing health education programs for children and adults.

12. Patient Advocate: A patient advocate with a personal or professional connection to heart disease who can provide a unique perspective.
