A bit about Tina Marie

At the age of 28, Tina Marie developed heart disease induced by pregnancy, a condition known as P.P.C.M. (Peri-partum Cardiomyopathy). As a survivor of P.P.C.M., She has been overcoming stage IV advanced heart failure, with the assistance of an L.V.A.D., for the past 9 years.

As a patient advocate, She strives to promote awareness and education of heart disease; while extending support to fellow patients, survivors, families, and caregivers. Through her organizations, Heart Sistas, Sistas with Hearts, and Walk with H.E.A.R.T.S., She encourages others to live life to its fullest while overcoming heart disease impacts. Her mantra is – “We didn’t fight to live, not to live!”
