My Recovery Process

Hi Friends: It has been quite a few weeks since I’ve last reached out to you. I hope this update finds you well. My mantra has been Trust the process. So far, the process is going pretty well. We are grateful!

With Boston’s summer finally settling in, we’ve been enjoying the outdoors more – playing in the yard, at the basketball court, or riding through the neighborhood. Also, School has been out, so, we get even more time with the young boy – Buraq Abdou. This is exhausting at times, but no complaints :).
I am usually able to keep up. However, we recently bought him a bicycle, which has given him some unfair advantage. Especially, going downhill. But, I do get my chance to catch-up when he is tired or when he struggles with the slopes and cannot pedal.

Another example – Together, as a family, we would go to the park at times. Quite a unit we make! Here’s what we typically look like – My lovely wife would be running in front, my son in the middle about 5m behind, riding his bike, and I would be 10 – 15m behind the pack, walking. Luckily, they’re nice and would sometimes slow down for ‘the weakest link’. Mommy would check if I am ok and the boy would encourage me to go on.

I love these moments with them! Even though, the competitive side of me can’t wait to race them again ;).

As always, thank you for your continued support and encouragement, my family and I greatly appreciate.

Love and Light :). Thanks.
