Our story was featured on the Cooking for a Cause TV Show produced by Singapore-based MediaCorp and August Pictures. The show aired for Asian channels and also online on Toggle.
Kelly Ng, a New York-based journalist, reached out to me when Community Servings referred us. Community Servings provides me with medically tailored, nutritious, scratch-made meals for people living with chronic conditions.
Behind the Scenes
The production crew came to our home for a week of video shoots. We captured everyday moments, from family life to cooking a surprise dinner for the family at Community Servings' Teaching Kitchen.
We also filmed at Vovinam Viet Vo Dao practice, showing how martial arts remain a core part of my wellness routine even while living with the LVAD heart pump.
The Power of Nutrition
This feature highlighted an essential truth for heart patients: nutrition is medicine. With Community Servings' support, I receive meals tailored to my cardiac condition, low sodium, balanced nutrients, and made from scratch with fresh ingredients.
For people living with chronic heart conditions, having access to proper nutrition can be the difference between stability and decline. This partnership exemplifies the kind of community support that makes a real difference in patients' lives.
